A particularly good post by Cathy.

Cathy Odgers has done it again...... I think she should write a book, or even dare I say it...run for office one day..... Now I am sure she will deny wanting to do either, but a good suggestion none the less.

check it out

  1. Clearly Cathy is not familar with the half plus seven rule.

An older man should use as a guide his age, divided by half, and add seven years to find the minimum age that he should date without looking seedy or stupid.

So therefore, a 40 year old man could quite logically date a 27 year old, but a 23 year old would be too young.

A fifty year old man could date a 32 year old lady without raising eyebrows, but a 26 year old would be far too young.

  3. Which means, hypothetically and by way of example, that at age 23, one should not be with a 16 year old.

  6. Yes, but I am sure there is room for movement in that.... If it was the other way around I am sure some of the guys could find many valid points to change the numbers to 1 or 2.
