Fernando Alonso of the Renault F1 team clinched the 2005 drivers world championship today at Interlagos in Brazil, taking the honor from Michael Schumacher. McLaren are currently ahead on the constructors points by two thanks too Juan Pablo winning the race and Kimi coming second.
