Stem cell research
What do you think of this topic? Should the US government allow this for the sake of finding cures for people with currently uncureable illness?
well i don't know other peoples view on this topic but I'm for it. I've even done it for my daughter with a company called Cord Bank. Basically at birth they collect the stem cells which to sight being done was very very interesting, looks like a berry couli. But I know now that if we need it for my princess its there on hand to assist her.I believe that if the client does pass away suddenly that those stem cells could be used to help others too. If your interested and in new just call cord bank and ask for a video or email me off robs link Mikes Blog
I'm happy for this -- only for as long as the intent and availability is not to be subverted. Kind'a like DNA testing for us so we know if we have a propensity to some sort of disease, so we know to look aftr ourselves or prevent it somehow, but of course the insurance companies can eventually decline to insure anyone who doesn't submit to a DNA test. Or, if legislation makes it illegal for them to decline insurance to such people, they could then decide to charge extortionate premiums for those people. The intent of most scientific stuff is very honourable, but when business has no sense of morality, it can also be used against us.
