Election time

I read on Rodney Hide's web site today that the election in New Zealand is to be September 17th. Now it doesn't matter if you want your National, Labour or Green candidate to get in. It is impoant that you give Act your party vote if you want lower taxes, level headed policy, and Rodney Hide in parliament keeping Mr Winston Peters and everyone else to their word, on track and aligned. Don't be sorry after the election, make the right dcision before it. Give Act your party vote.

Nice hat.

Hmm, interesting theory. But if ACT gets 4.5% of the vote and doesn't win a seat, then that wasted voted is calculated out and in thoery is distributed among the rest of the parties.

So if ACT fails to breach 5%, and gets 4.5%, then around 1/3rd of that vote is assisting Labour win seats (and 1/3rd to National, the rest apportioned accordingly). So wasted votes could help elect Labour MPs.

If you want to change the government, then you need to be safe and make it party vote National. Only a vote for National elects National MPs, since National will not be under risk from wasted vote.

Yes but it not the same without Rodney. National are a bit boring. Act brings some life to politics. Nonsense about waisted votes. More than 5% of people will vote for Act on the day. You are using scare tactics to take votes from Act. It will only help Winston if AcT does not get 5 %. It will be negative for NAtional if AcT are not there.

Winston while charasmatic and nice to entertain with is tempermental and is capable of bringing the whole government down if a close eye is not placed on him. Think of AcT as the close eye.
