Rodneys ride.

Rodney Hide MP for Epsom has got a new ride. A brilliantly sign written Smart Car. Now this car is going to attract attention, as it did when he gave me a ride up Parnell Rise in it on November 11th. The car is going to appeal to the Greens, as it is very fuel efficient, and it might just remind the previous MP for Epsom that it is time to eat humble pie, and conceed defeat. The car is surprisingly spacious, and is rather peppy, so keep an eye out for the Boss driving the Smart through the Epsom Electorate soon.
Way to go Rodney.

Why is there a parliamentary crest on the car? Has the perkbuster been spending taxpayer money on frivolous paintjobs for his car?

Not sure of that....?

Not a good look for the perkbuster to be wasting taxpayer money on paint jobs. Where's the taxpayer value in this? Surely he should have paid for this with privately sourced funds.

Hey Aaron - see Rodney's blog - he has not used taxpayer's funds. He used the Crest because he is proud of it; a nice touch.

Thanks for that clarification, I blogged that as well, it begs the question, how do we know if anything is tax-payer funded if MPs can say they used the crest because "it looked cool". Can I use it on my car or my blog because "it looks cool"?

Get elected to parliament and you can Dave.

Aaron B has had a bee in his bonnet over Rodney for a long time. When it comes to Hide and ACT he can't see straight. He speaks before he has the facts.
