Test drove this car....

Look here The lease on my 2004 BMW 325i is up in February. I have done just over 12,000 miles in her, and was contracted for 24,000 so someone is going to get a good car later. Anyway, yesterday I thought that it was time for me to drive the 2006 BMW 325i. My current car is the E46, and the new car is the E90, therefore the 06 is a new model. The 2006 325i is powered by a 3.0 inline 6 cylinder engine putting out 215hp. The E46 is a 2.5 inline six putting out 183 HP. The new car does feel faster as it should, it is more economical and the lease would not be too much more than my current vehicle. BUT... I really want the 330i which has 255 HP and plenty of great standard options. Problem is, is that being part Scottish, I don't want to pay the extra for the 330i, so it really is down to chosing the right options for the 325i. I guess that there could be worse things to do.

why don't you look at the Audi A4 instead?

No free service..... Although the Audi is nice, it is not up to that of the BMW.

No free service in USA for Audi? That surprises me. Here in NZ, all the luxury brands are all inclusive.

BMW is the only one that does it now. Even BENZ stopped.

Compelling argument for BMW ownership if you ask me.

Indeed... 4 years and 50,000 miles. Everything including brakes and discs are covered....

Even on lease you don't get service?

Here in the UK if you buy you only get servicing on cars they can't sell. Pretty much all leases are full service because they want to sell it afterwards!

Stick with the Bimmer. For Nth America, the Audis are not as high up on the reliability list as the BMW. By the way, may have told you I had test-driven the E90 320i. I sure hope the sixes feel better than this, because that car certainly did NOT feel like a BMW to me. It's frugal, alright, and it is comfortable. But even the steering was less BMW than I'm used to --in fact the Accord Euro felt more like a BMW.
